Paisley, known as the Mad Merchant, is bound to the service of the Black Lotus by a curse or oath he no longer remembers.  
Death will not release him; attempts have been made, all failed. Instead, he wanders on, trading and scheming, blaming strangers and allies alike for his plight.  

== Role in the World ==
* Acts as the **primary intractable NPC** for the server.  
* Found in a little-used corner of the [[The Sunken Drunk|Sunken Drunk]], waiting to be stumbled upon.  
* Provides goods, services, or information — though never without a price.  

== Personality ==
Paisley’s speech is fragmented and contradictory.  
* Blames random individuals (including unrelated NPCs) for his curse.  
* Speaks in riddles, half-truths, and sudden outbursts.  
* Alternates between desperate pleading and sharp cunning.
